Restaurant changes hands; Placida Seafood Festival goes on

With the recent sale of the famous Fishery restaurant based in Placida, a big concern was whether or not the annual Placida Seafood Festival would go on as planned. Not to worry.
For over 30 years, Garry Albritton and wife Margaret have seen the celebration of the sea grow from a few hundred attendees to a few thousand. This year’s event is expected to draw in more than 15,000 visitors during the two-day event this weekend, March 16-17.
