For me, watching the Bassmaster Classic on TV is a special deal. Not only is that event something I would like to compete in, but having friends fishing in the event, along with guys that I covered doing camera boat work for ESPN, gives me a little different insight.
To be honest, I hope to one day walk across that stage and present a big bag of bass to a national television audience. I have a few other hurdles to jump before I ever get this chance, but it is something that every bass angler dreams about. Last year it was a special event when I got to watch two of my friends walk across that stage together. And then to see one of them hoist that trophy in the air almost made me feel like I was part of the festivities.
