For most snowbirds, a typical outing on the water may include a few hours of fishing followed by a bite to eat at a favorite waterfront restaurant. Daniel and Agnes Long are not your typical snowbirds.
The adventurous couple will set out next week on a 1,200 nautical mile journey that will begin in Tortola, the largest and most populated of the British Virgin Islands. There, they will load up their 47-foot Leopard catamaran and navigate through the Caribbean, stopping at ports in St. Thomas, Turks and Caicos, Key West and, finally, Charlotte Harbor.
