Albert untouchable as Indians advance to states

Tyson Albert threw 4 1/3 innings of no-hit ball Friday night as the Indians defeated Wiregrass Ranch 6-0 to advance to the 7A semifinals in Fort Myers.

Mike Rivera's two-out double in the first inning scored Dalton Guthrie and gave the Indians the lead for good. Venice won 6-0.

It would’ve been understandable if Venice starter Tyson Albert had gotten upset about being pulled from Venice’s 7A regional final matchup with Wiregrass Ranch Friday night.

After all, the senior was unhittable in the final home game of his career, carrying a no-hitter into the fifth inning with the Indians leading 6-0.
