Indians win three, set school record

In a season filled with games against some of the country’s best teams, the Venice Indians saved their best performance for last, playing their most complete game of the season to earn a 3-0 win over Tampa Jesuit (No. 10 in Baseball America’s top 25) in Tampa Thursday night.

Venice’s formula for success — shutdown pitching, mistake-free defense and timely hitting — was on full display as the Indians withstood a boisterous Jesuit crowd to improve to 21-3 on the season.
