The Venice Indians softball team has struggled this season to get that timely hit. On Tuesday, the top four hitters in the Indians order — Liz Walters, Kaitlyn Davis, Carly Rosa and Chelsey LaFountain — combined for 10 hits, 11 runs and eight RBI to lead Venice to a 15-6 victory over the Charlotte Tarpons.
“The top of the order really tagged it,” Indians coach Larry Sandburg said. “Fifteen hits is a lot for softball.”
