James “Jim” R. Cole passed away Tuesday Feb. 12, 2013. He died from complications of heart disease at the age of 90. He had a good run.

Jim loved his wife, Louise (Helen “Louise” Cole), more than life itself, and they had 67 years together. Jim was a World War II veteran and had participated in the Normandy invasion. He enjoyed golf and politics and was not shy about expressing his opinion.

Jim retired from the Pennsylvania Railroad after 42 years of service as a train dispatcher. Jim and Louise enjoyed many happy retirement years living on a golf course in Venice. Jim was a proud father of his two children, James W. Cole and Deborah Cole-Sedivy. He had five grandchildren, Christine Girard, James L. Cole, Jason Cole (deceased), Nicholas Sedivy and Philip Sedivy.
