Francis X. Yasi

Francis X (Frank) Yasi, 92, died peacefully Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012, at his home in Franklin, Mass., at the Forge Hill Senior Living Community. He was the husband of the late Gilda (Montanaro) Yasi for 63 years, until her death in 2011.

Born in Swampscott, Mass., Aug. 26, 1920, the son of the late Daniel and Nettie (Natalie) Yasi, Mr. Yasi had lived in Lynn and Marshfield before moving to Venice, Fla., where he lived for 29 years prior to moving to Franklin three years ago.

Mr. Yasi served in the Navy during World War II, attaining the rank of aviation gunnery instructor second class. It was while in the Navy that Mr. Yasi met his wife at the Quonset Point Naval Station in Rhode Island.

Mr. Yasi, along with his brother, had owned and operated Preferred Pressroom Products in Peabody. He later became a real estate broker for the Jack Conway Company in Marshfield and also worked in real estate in Florida for a time.

He is survived by his sons, Ken Yasi and his wife,, Cheryl of Hull, and Dan Yasi and his wife, Judy, of Medway. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Paul, Katherine, Emily and Lauren Yasi of Medway.

He was the brother of the late Charles, Joseph and Theodore Yasi.

The Yasi family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of the Forge Hill Senior Living Community for the care, love and support they have provided over the past three years.

Services: His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, in St. Mary’s Church, Franklin. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Lynn. Arrangements are under the care of the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin, www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com.
