Christopher Ross Henne passed peacefully on Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012, in Durham, N.C., at the age of 60.

Chris was born June 2, 1952, in Venice, where he spent most of his life. Chris grew up around boats and airplanes and loved to talk about the old days in Venice. Chris was known as a gifted photographer and musician. He loved the guitar and played throughout his life with various musicians. Chris had an inquiring mind and was well read and eloquent in his speech. He was so friendly could talk to anyone and had a great sense of humor as well.

Chris leaves behind two grown daughters, Tina Howard of New Smyrna Beach and Regina Henne of Osprey; along with six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He is also survived by two brothers, Edward Henne of Sarasota and John Henne of Tampa, and one sister, Cindy Henne Hicks of Atlanta. He was preceded in death by his sister Peachie Edge.

Services: A celebration of Chris’s life will be held Saturday, Dec.1 at the North Jetty in Nokomis at 4 p.m. Condolences may be sent to Regina Henne, 188 Church St., Osprey FL 34229.
