Evelyn “Elaine” Kelly, 67, of Englewood, formerly of Kokomo, Ind., died Friday, Oct. 26, 2012.
Elaine was born to Rufus and Juanita Stober on Sept. 30, 1945, in Rockford, Ohio.
After graduating from high school, she attended Warner Beauty College in Fort Wayne, Ind., and became a licensed cosmetologist; she was still licensed in the state of Florida.
She moved to Kokomo, Ind., and became employed as an executive secretary at Chrysler Corporation. She left Chrysler as the executive secretary of the plant manager when her husband retired to move to Florida. While at Chrysler she attended Indiana University of Kokomo, taking business administration and computer classes. She attained her certified professional secretary degree.
Survivors include her husband, Adam, of Englewood; stepdaughters, Deborah Kelly of Bunker Hill, Ind., and Michele Bixler of Kokomo, Ind.; brother, Bill (Frieda) Stober, of Rockford, Ohio; niece, Stephanie (Todd) Stouffer; and nephew, Trey (Tafi) Stober.
Services: A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4, at Farley Funeral Home, Venice Chapel.
