Venice aside, much of Florida same after gay marriage rulings

The pair of U.S. Supreme Court decisions on gay marriage reversed policy on federal benefits and statutes for same-sex couples and will allow homosexuals to be married again in the country’s largest state, but it left unchanged how Florida and
36 other states treat the issue.

But it’s good to know that the city of Venice is ahead of the curve.
