Arena idea. What an absolutely delightful idea that one of your readers recently had of using the grounds of the Circus Arena to become an interactive children’s park to remind all Venice residents, and Venice visitors in the future, of Venice’s own connection to the circus life. What fun it would be for a child to ride on a lion or a tiger’s back or climb up a giraffe’s neck, or play hide-and-seek behind an elephant or colorful clown figures.
There could be low swings that would duplicate high wire acts. Colorful circus wagons provided with background music would delight the hearts and souls of children of all ages. I hope that some group with clout and a reputation of integrity will get behind this idea. Maybe your former publisher or someone of equal status would be willing to lead in the idea. I think it would attract all kinds of donations from circus levels and from people who are children’s fun lovers.
