Thirty seconds not watching his 5-year-old grandson led almost to a drowning disaster on the jersey shores. Underwater, a lifeguard safety rope tangled around the grandson’s neck and the child almost died.

In shock, Charlotte County resident Russ Rusakov vowed to stop similar incidents occurring again. An inventor, he set about building a safety device, the Child Guard Safety Angel.
