West Hartford, Conn. native Ray Richardson recently wound down a successful jewelry store he had ran for more than 20 years following the loss of his wife. “Now, I am starting a new life in Venice, and many of my loyal customers to whom I said goodbye are coming down when I open the new store,” he said.
He is shooting for a Sept. 1 opening for Richardson & Richardson Estate Antiques & Jewelry, 209 West Miami Ave., across from Comcast. From experience, he plans to have period pieces of Victorian, Art nouveau, Art Deco and various periods and styles of jewelry represented in platinum, gold, silver and custom pieces.
