Husband-and-wife team Diane and Richard Coykendal have opened California Hair Studio, 804 E. Venice Ave. He is a master haircutter and she is a qualified hair-coloring specialist.

They planned the studio with an architect to incorporate a “green earth” design, and they use organic and earth-friendly products with a large selection of color lines.
