NORTH PORT — Members of the North Port Economic Development Corp. are still looking for investors for their sprawling, multimillion-dollar plan they say will transform the city from bedroom community to a thriving destination. While those developers remain elusive, board members are hoping their enthusiasm for their vision will eventually bring those investors to the surface.

“These are big dreams and wishes, but we need to bring something to the city to attract outside people,” said Ken Maturo, NPEDC board member. “We need to convince people of the possibilities in the city.”
