Despite a dizzying presidential race and a long ballot of statewide initiatives, Venice voters had little to consider Tuesday in the way of city races.

City Council Members Emilio Carlesimo and Jim Bennett ran unopposed. Their names didn’t even appear on the ballot, having already secured their respective seats for a second term.
