FORT MYERS — The morning after the Dominican Republic defeated the United States in the World Baseball Classic, Joel Peralta entered the Rays’ clubhouse proudly donning cap with his country’s colors.

He couldn’t be there, but still supported his country from Port Charlotte as he prepared for the Tampa Bay season.
