Karoline “Lina” Osanitsch, 81, of Port Charlotte, Fla., passed away Saturday, March 9, 2013, in Port Charlotte.

She was born July 6, 1931, in Velimirovac, Yugoslavia. Karoline and her husband of more than 62 years, Leopold, immigrated to the U.S. together with their family, moving to Port Charlotte from Bethlehem, Pa., in 1992. She was a loving, dedicated wife, mother and grandmother, who will be missed by all her family and friends.

Karoline is survived by her loving husband, Leopold; sons, Fred (Leigh), and Leo (Petra) Osanitsch; grandchildren, Amy, David, Rebecca, Melissa and Vanessa, and their spouses; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Emil Nordurft; sister, Katy Miller; several nieces and nephews; and numerous extended family members in Austria, Australia and the United States.

A Memorial Service will be held at 5 p.m. today, Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at Roberson Funeral Home, Port Charlotte Chapel. A private committal will be held at a later date. Friends may visit online at www.robersonfh.com to extend condolences to the family and sign the memory book.
