Robert K. Faust
Robert K. “Bob” Faust, 98, of Punta Gorda, Fla., and formerly of Fort Wayne, Ind., passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2013, in Port Charlotte, Fla.
He was born Dec. 4, 1914, in Springfield, Ohio, to George and Mary (nee Gorham).
Bob worked 44 years of his life, last as a product planning manager for Navistar International Truck Company. He was a member of the Power Squadron of Fort Wayne, and the Civic Association of Punta Gorda. Bob enjoyed his family, music, football and sailing, and was an avid golfer. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Julia “Betty”; daughter, Virginia (Joseph) Bender; stepsons, Leonard (Kathleen) Melton and Walter E. (Wanda) Melton II; grandchildren, Jason (Nicole) Melton, Kari (Casey) Finnegan, Timothy Melton, Teresa (Matthew) Voors, Jeffrey (Jennifer) Bender and Michele Bender; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends and neighbors from 11 a.m. to noon Monday, March 11, 2013, at 9400 Indian Springs Cemetery Road, Punta Gorda. The Funeral Service will follow at noon with burial. Fellowship and shared memories will take place afterward.
