Clarence W. Schmidt, 86, of Punta Gorda, Fla., and formerly of Elkhorn, Wis., passed away Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, with his loving wife at his side.

He was born Aug. 19, 1926, in Milwaukee, Wis., to Albert and Caroline Schmidt.

Mr. Schmidt is survived by his beloved wife, Eileen (nee Rieger); children, Joan (Ken) Kaiser, Jan (Bob) Flower and Jackalyn (Lee) Reynolds; stepchildren, Amy (Mike) Mueller and Anthony Ardellini; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; eight siblings; and his son, Clarence “Bud” Schmidt.
