Mrs. Mary Ann Duncan, 76, of Elkin, N.C., passed away, Friday, Jan. 25, 2013.

She was born April 12, 1936, in Yadkin County to Rowland G. and Pansy Talley Hagwood.

Survivors include her nephew, Neil (Katie) Hagwood; niece, Amy (Chris) Sebastian; sister-in-law, Lynn Hagwood; three great-nephews; and one great-niece. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Duncan was preceded in death by her husband, R. Grant Duncan; and brother, Rick Hagwood.

A private graveside service was conducted Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, at Crestwood Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 401 Technology Lane Suite 200, Mt. Airy, NC 27030.
