Geoffrey H. Pittenger, 46, of Port Charlotte, Fla., passed away Friday, Jan. 18, 2013.

He was born Nov. 4, 1966, in Alton, Ill., and moved to Port Charlotte in 1971.

Geoffrey was in the first graduating class of Port Charlotte High School. He was an Eagle Scout.

He is survived by his loving mother, Mary Patricia “Pat” Pittenger; along with several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father, John R. Pittenger; and his grandparents.
