Dorothy Ann Geidel, 80, of Punta Gorda, Fla., loving wife of Max John Geidel, passed into eternal life, Monday, Jan. 14, 2013.

She was born and raised on Staten Island, N.Y., and retired in 1987, to Punta Gorda, then to Port Charlotte, Fla. Dorothy and Max shared many interests, including memberships in the Charlotte Harbor Yacht Club and the Punta Gorda Boat Club. They visited 48 U.S. states and to Canada, traveling in their motor homes. Dorothy was a faithful member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church where she was active in Bible study and many other church activities.

Dorothy is survived by her husband of 61 years, Max; two daughters, Roxanne (Harry), and Cindy (Henry); grandchildren, Kristine (Dan), Ashlee (JJ), Rebecca, Marc, Jeanette and Edy; and her great-grandchildren Evan, Violet and Eli. “GG” was a proud great-grandmother.

Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 2565 Tamiami Trail, Port Charlotte, FL 33952.

Arrangements are by National Cremation of Port Charlotte.
