DL Gardner

DL Gardner, 65, of Port Charlotte, Fla., passed away Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, at his home in Port Charlotte.

He was born June 20, 1947, in Rochester, N.Y.

DL moved to Port Charlotte in the early 1990s from there. He was a disabled U.S. Army veteran who served in Vietnam. DL enjoyed life to the fullest, and spending time with friends. He was a loving father, brother, grandfather and friend, and will forever be missed by all who loved and knew him.

DL is survived by his daughters, Kimberlee A. Gardner and Amy Gardner DeGood, both of Arlington, Va.; brothers, Drew and Gray Gardner, both of Rochester, and Lynn Gardner of Melbourne, Fla.; grandchild, Adam Nasr; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date by the family. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington. Friends may visit www.robersonfh.com to sign the memory book and extend condolences to the family.

Arrangements are by Roberson Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Charlotte Chapel.
