Peter “Pete” Tuckey, 76, of Port Charlotte, Fla., passed away Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012.

He was born Oct. 26, 1936, in Scotland.

Peter loved horses and enjoyed working on the racetrack most of his life. In 2001, upon retiring to Florida, he enjoyed his time working for Publix at the Charlotte Harbor, Fla., store. Peter’s favorite pastime was fishing. He was well-liked and will be missed by everyone who knew him, including his two adopted dogs, Kiki and Lola.

Pete is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Barbara; siblings, Sidney Tuckey and Eileen Findlater, both of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and Dorothy (Herb) Ward of New Zealand.

Arrangements are by National Cremation Society of Port Charlotte.
