Much of our holiday celebrations have to do with food — lots of food. We enjoy getting together with our families and putting on a feast. The table is loaded with turkey and ham, mashed potatoes and noodles, stuffing and sweet potatoes, plus all kinds of pies and other desserts.
When we can’t eat another bite, we put the food away, and for the next few days we have what is called “leftovers.” Enjoying what is left over from our original feast is economically a wise thing to do. Eventually, however, we get a little tired of those leftovers and begin to crave something fresh.
