The Fabric of Our Faith: An unusual Thanksgiving
Having had knee surgery number eight on Oct. 17, I’m currently nonambulatory, in a full leg cast and facing eight weeks of rehab. Since my cast makes transportation difficult, I figured I’d miss Thanksgiving with my family. Then Consulate Rehab announced that for a nominal charge, our family could enjoy a lovely meal and be relieved of food preparation and table cleanup. That’s a no‑brainer, right?
With employees, residents and their family members, Consulate will feed about 150. While this will be an unusual Thanksgiving, it doesn’t compare with the meal recorded in Matthew 26:20-29, New International Version.
