Orchestra lands new executive director

Congratulations to Regina Buckley. She recently was appointed executive director of the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra. According to the orchestra, Buckley has had 25 years of experience in the nonprofit sector. In her hometown of Boston, she co-founded and was director of the telemedicine center, and created and directed the physician-referral service at Massachusetts General Hospital. After moving to Punta Gorda in 1996, she began her affiliation with the Charlotte County Family YMCA. She has managed both the Bayfront Center and the Punta Gorda facility, has served as event coordinator, and is a certified fitness instructor and personal trainer.

She is also a licensed real estate broker, and owned and operated Regal Property Services of Port Charlotte, a successful property-management company.
