Although the three owners of The Potters Studio at the Bal Harbor Plaza in Punta Gorda come from very different backgrounds, they are united by their love of pottery.
Laurie Hayes was an executive with GE. Jan Hollingsworth was an occupational therapist. Sandy Whitley owned and operated a hotel. The three women all found their way to Punta Gorda after retiring and each, deciding to try something new, signed up for pottery classes at the Visual Arts Center.
