SARASOTA COUNTY — Before they died, Traci Nabergall and Jason Salter knew who their killer was, according to a medical examiner.

However, due to extensive wounds to their necks and throats, both would have lost consciousness 30 seconds later and died shortly afterward, Dr. Wilson Broussard, Sarasota County deputy chief medical examiner, told jurors Wednesday at the Sarasota County Courthouse.
