Charlotte State Bank & Trust contributed more than $2,250 to the American Heart Association during the annual Charlotte County Heart Walk fundraiser in February. The bank recruited 30 walkers and raised the fifth highest total among 21 local companies involved. In all, the Charlotte County Heart Walk raised $90,567 (as of March 17), far surpassing the $75,000 goal. The money will be used to fulfill the nonprofit American Heart Association’s mission of “building healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke.” For more information, visit the AHA website at www.heart.org.
