Celtic Ray celebrates 16th anniversary

The Celtic Ray Irish Pub in downtown Punta Gorda celebrated its 16th anniversary on Tuesday to a packed house with music from Scotland to Ireland to Australia. David Dines, leader of the Pipe and Drum Band, plays “The Pines of Punta Gorda.”

The “Celtic Clan,” who are the house band at Boston’s famed Irish Pub, the Black Rose, came down from Boston to help celebrate the Ray’s 16th anniversary and play some Irish folk tunes and jigs.
