No direction on Murdock Village
MURDOCK — It was a meeting meant to gather public input to decide how best to proceed with the development of Murdock Village. But in the end, no decisions were made or direction to staff given, as several Charlotte County commissioners said they needed to “digest” the information and ideas they heard during a workshop Tuesday afternoon to discuss the controversial project.
“There’s a lot of things that we need to do to move this project forward,” said Commissioner Bill Truex. “Whatever the direction forward is, is yet to be determined. We have what we have, and we’ve got to figure out the best way to deal with the land we have, and what we can do with it to get it back on the tax rolls, and that discussion is still going to go on for a while.”
