Punta Gorda City Manager Howard Kunik played the part of the Thanksgiving turkey Thursday during Gallery Walk. As tradition holds, members of the City Council take a vote each year to decide whether to pardon the turkey or cook him up for dinner. Prior to the official votes, Kunik was helped into a pot by guitarist Paul Cottrell and Teri Ashley, the business development officer for Centennial Bank. Minutes later, the turkey was voted onto the Thanksgiving table, with Mayor Bill Albers issuing the deciding vote.
