Local centenarians share birthday

Ernestine (Ward) Allen turned 100 years old on Nov. 4, and celebrated the occassion with family and friends. Shown with the birthday girl is her neighbor Denise Bear, who styled her hair for the surprise party.
Two local women celebrated their birthdays Nov. 4 with family and friends. What makes this unique is that both women are centenarians.
Tillie Brown, who turned 105, was honored with a celebration at the Life Care Center or Punta Gorda, where she is a resident.
