PUNTA GORDA — The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office has announced that effective Oct. 15 the Charlotte County Jail will be instituting new hours of operation for onsite visits at the Public Visitation Building. This will affect pubic and professional visitors who utilize our Video Visitation system for contact with the inmate population. The new open hours for Monday-Friday onsite visitation will be limited to the following times: 12:30 p.m.-1:30 p.m., 2 p.m.–3 p.m., 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m., 5 p.m.- 6 p.m.

Saturday and Sunday visitation hours: 7 a.m.–8 a.m., 8:30 a.m.–9:30 a.m., 10 a.m.–11 a.m., 12:30 p.m.–1:30 p.m., 2 p.m. – 3 p.m., 3:30 p.m.–4:30 p.m. 5 p.m.– 6 p.m. Offsite from home visitation hours will be unaffected, and are still available from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the designated appointment times Monday through Sunday.
