Marian J. (nee Llewellyn) Shisko, 93, of Punta Gorda, Fla., and formerly of Elizabeth, N.J., died Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013, at JFK Medical Center in Edison, N.J.
She was born in Ashley, Pa., and lived in Elizabeth most her life, before moving to Lenox, Mass., and Punta Gorda eight years ago.
Marian was an assistant manager for the gift shop at Elizabeth General Medical Center for many years before retiring. She also co-owned a gift shop, The Merry Widow in Morristown, N.J., in the 1980s. Marian was active in Community United Methodist Church in Roselle Park, N.J. She was a member of the Emmaus Chapter 183 Order of the Eastern Star.
Marian is survived by her two daughters, Sonya (Robert) Ross and Judi (Bryan) Orr of Lenox and Punta Gorda; three grandchildren, Jill (Daniel) Rafferty, Timothy (Denise) Ross and Sean Orr; and five great-grandchildren, Daniel, Kristen and Kelly Rafferty, and Rocco and Nicholas Ross.
Visitation is from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, Sunday, Oct. 6, 2013, at August F. Schmidt Memorial Funeral Home, 139 Westfield Ave., Elizabeth, NJ 07208. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the funeral at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 7, 2013, at the funeral home. Interment will be at Graceland Memorial Park.
