Peter A. Yammarino, 85, of Port Charlotte, Fla., passed away Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013.

He was born to Lucy and Frank Yammarino Oct. 25, 1927, in Buffalo, N.Y.

Peter served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion and Sons of Italy Lodge 2507. Peter will be loved and missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Helen; children, Francis J. (Cathy) Yammarino of Endwell, N.Y., and Elaine Y. Corsino of Tamarac, Fla.; grandchildren, Christina Corsino, and Kayla and Anthony Yammarino; and sisters, Lorraine Hearn of Deltona, Fla., and Angela Nugent of Hiawassee, Ga. Peter was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Vincent.

Burial will be at Sarasota National Cemetery in Sarasota, Fla. Memorial donations may be made to Tidewell Hospice House, 1158 Veronica St., Port Charlotte, FL 33952.
