Richard L. Campbell

Richard L. Campbell, 89, of Port Charlotte, Fla., formerly of Punta Gorda, Fla., passed away Monday, March 4, 2013.

He was born April 21, 1923, in Dayton, Ohio, and moved to this area in 1980, from Farmington, Mich.

Mr. Campbell was a retired engineer for Ford Motor Co. He was a charter member of St. Andrews South Golf Course in Punta Gorda. Mr. Campbell served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy; daughters, Linda Trost, Vickie Neusius, and Susan Robertson; son, Richard; step-daughter, Sally Rice; step-son, Arthur Simpson; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Pamela.

Memorial services will be private. Memorial donations may be made to TideWell Hospice Inc., 5955 Rand Boulevard, Sarasota, Fla. 34238, or your charity of choice.

Arrangements are by National Cremation Society of Port Charlotte.
