Darrell James Baxter, 33, of Port Charlotte, Fla., passed away Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013, at his Charlotte County, Fla., residence.

He was born Oct. 13, 1979, in Flint, Mich., to Phillip J. Baxter and Kimberly Kay Howey.

Darrell had been a resident of Charlotte County for 30 years, coming from Flint. He was a graduate of Lemon Bay High School.

Darrell is survived by his mother, Kimberly Exner; father, Phillip Baxter; maternal grandfather, Richard Howey; aunts, Shawn, Kelly, Shannon, Cecelia, Susan, Geri, Rita, Mary and Dawn; and uncles, Richard, Kenneth, Dale, Frank, David and Thomas.

A celebration of Darrell’s life will be held from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at 747 S. McCall Road, Englewood, Fla. Please, no flowers, but donations will be gratefully accepted.

Arrangements are by Englewood Community Funeral Home, with Private Crematory.
