Selanda B. Fritz, 100, of Punta Gorda, Fla., died Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, in Punta Gorda.

She was born Jan. 29, 1912, in Clinton, Pa., to Harry W. and Bessie Matter.

Selanda moved to Punta Gorda in 1967 from Mechanicsburg, Pa., with her husband Ivan. She always enjoyed having that green thumb, and enjoyed her gardening and flowers.

Selanda is survived by her loving daughter, Kathleen Miele; son-in-law, James of Punta Gorda; brother, Grant Matter; sister, Martha Harvey; daughter-in-law, Linda Fritz; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan, in 1988; and her two sons, Dean Ivan Fritz in 1940, and Richard W. Fritz in 2007.

The family will receive friends and neighbors from 11 a.m. until the Funeral Service at noon Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, at Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home, 9400 Indian Springs Cemetery Road, Punta Gorda. Burial will follow at Charlotte Memorial Cemetery.
