Hans H. Haga, 67, of Port Charlotte, Fla., passed away Friday, Jan. 4, 2013.

He was born Aug. 26, 1945 in Kronoby, Finland.

Hans served in the U.S. Army. He moved to Port Charlotte in 1972, and he was a skilled carpenter.

He is survived by his mother, Esther Haga of Port Charlotte; daughter, Cherstin (Richard) Holtzman of North Port, Fla.; sister, Britt (Paul) Kovach of North Port; brothers, Christer Haga of New Fairfield, Conn., and John Haga of Danbury, Conn.; grandchildren, Aidan Frame and Caleb Holtzman; niece, Barbara Lockhart; and nephews, Christopher Kovach and John-Eric Haga.

Services are private.

Arrangements are with National Cremation Society of Port Charlotte.
