Mary Ella Taylor, 95, of Nashville, Tenn., and formerly of Punta Gorda, Fla., passed away Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012.

She was the daughter of Edgar L. and Mary (nee England) Gaither, born Jan. 26, 1917, in Lerna, Ill.

Mary was a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Punta Gorda, and Tuscolum Hills Baptist Church in Nashville.

She will be greatly missed by her sons, Edward (Tena) Taylor of Nashville, and Alfred (Diane) Taylor of McCalla, Ala.; sister, Bonnie Pauli; 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, JT Taylor; and brother, Donald Gaither.

The family will receive friends from noon until the service in celebration of Mary’s life at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services.
