Pauline B. Hamilton
Pauline B. Hamilton, 80, of Port Charlotte, Fla., passed away Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012, at Tidewell Hospice in Port Charlotte.
She was born July 25, 1932, in Wauchula, Fla., and lived in Florida all her life, moving to Port Charlotte in 1998.
Pauline was a retired hospital nurse and was a U.S. Marine Reserve veteran of the Korean War. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church of Port Charlotte.
Pauline is survived by her loving family, including six daughters, Donna (James) Peacock-Maines of Port Charlotte, Mary Jane (Scott) Franks of Essex, Iowa, Charlene (Thomas) Hegadone of Cohocton, N.Y., Pauline (Tino) Ponquillo of Morgan City, La., Alicia (Chuc) Viet-Vu of Amelia, La., and Sherann Meissner of Arcadia, Fla.; son, William W. (Sue) Hamilton of Port Charlotte; 46 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cletis Vernon Hamilton, who died in 1988.
Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the service time at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, at Roberson Funeral Home, Port Charlotte Chapel. The Rev. Charles Dietterich, Pastor, will officiate. Committal services and interment will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, at Sarasota National Cemetery in Sarasota, Fla.
