Dea G. Romano

Dea G. (nee Corbino) Romano, 96, of Port Charlotte, Fla., and formerly of Leominster, Mass., passed away Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2012.

She was born in Leominster, May 3, 1916, to Vincenzo and Olympia (nee Pagnotta) Corbino.

Dea was a member of St. Anna’s Church. She enjoyed cooking for her family, sewing, knitting and traveling with her husband, Nicholas A. “Nick” Romano, who died in January 2012 at the age of 98. They were married in 1938, and shared every day together for 73 years.

Dea leaves her daughter, Deanna M. Dandini of Englewood, Fla.; son, Dr. Nicholas A. (Sharon) Romano of Lancaster, Mass.; sister, Ines Boucher; three grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; two brothers, Aldo and Henry Corbino; sisters, Eldi, Fidalma Centra, Perl Pascarelli and Alma Palladino; and grandson, Richard Dandini Jr.

The family wishes to extend its gratitude to Doug and Evie English of Port Charlotte for the loving care they provided for Nick and Dea Romano to their final days.

Services will be private. Burial for Dea and her husband Nick will be at a later date at St. Leo’s Cemetery in Leominster.

Arrangements are by National Cremation Society of Port Charlotte.
