Claude R. Ferron
Claude R. Ferron, 88, of Port Charlotte, Fla., passed away Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012, at Fawcett Memorial Hospital, Port Charlotte.
He was born Jan. 28, 1924, in Manchester, N.H. and moved to Port Charlotte in 1982 from Albany, N.Y.
Claude was a World War II veteran who served proudly in the U.S. Army. He was a member of St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus council 11483 in Port Charlotte. He was a wonderful man who adored his wife and children. Claude was an amazing man at heart who would do anything for anyone. He will truly be missed by all who loved and knew him.
Survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Gloria Ferron; two sons, Kenneth (Patti) Ferron of Nashua, N.H. and Leonard (Brenda) Ferron of Candia, N.H.; brother, Edward (Shirley) Ferron of Albuquerque, N.M.; five grandchildren, Jennifer Doak, Jason Ferron, Alison Jacobs, Melissa Ferron and Christopher Ferron; and 19 great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church, 1441 Spear Street Port Charlotte, FL 33948. Inurnment with military honors will follow at St. Maximilian Kolbe Memorial Garden. Friends may visit online at www.robersonfh.com to extend condolences to the family and sign the memory book.
