William A. Endres

William A. “Bill” Endres, 87, of Port Charlotte, Fla., passed away Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, in Port Charlotte.

He was born Oct. 1, 1925, in Adair, Ill., to Dwight and Frances Foster Endres. William worked from Coca-Cola and M & H Auto Supply in Macomb, Ill., from 1948 until 1953. Bill then moved to Rock Island, Ill., in 1953, where he worked for Sanitary Dairy and the Iowa-Illinois Gas & Electric Company as a superintendent in the building division. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and served aboard the LSM129. After retirement in 1989, Bill moved to Florida in 1997. He loved the sunny weather and blooming flowers of Florida, and enjoyed staying in touch with family and friends.

William is survived by his son, William B. (Nancy) Endres of Milan, Ill. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Edna; brothers, Ronald, Donald, Verle, Doyle, and George. Services and interment will be held in Greenview Memorial Gardens of E. Moline, Ill. Friends may visit online at www.robersonfh.com to sign the memorybook, and extend condolences to the family.
