Linda Eileen Thomas

Linda Eileen Thomas, 63, of Port Charlotte, Fla., died peacefully Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, after a long illness.

She was born July 26, 1949, in Waterbury, Conn., the daughter of Selem and Anita Thomas.

Linda resided in Port Charlotte, where she lived for the past 20 years. She owned and managed properties, and was an avid collector of coins, baseball cards and other items. Linda will be remembered as a kind, loving and generous person, who will be missed by those whose lives she touched.

Linda is survived by her adopted daughter, Taylor Baxley, 11; sister, Miriam O’Connor of Syracuse, N.Y.; brothers, Ernest (Debbie) Thomas of Waterbury, Conn., and Daniel (Cecile) Thomas of Toccoa, Ga.; niece, Jennifer Meglio of Waterbury; nephews, Michael Thomas of Nashville, Tenn., and Christopher O’Connor of White Plains, N.Y.; one great-niece; two great-nephews; and caregivers and friends, Louis Peccarillo, Suzanne Conti and Jennifer DeMarco, whom she loved very much. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial service for Linda will be held at a future date and location to be announced.

Arrangements are by Lemon Bay Funeral Home.
