Kenneth E. Smith, 72, of Punta Gorda, Fla., passed away Monday, Dec. 3, 2012.

He was born June 17, 1940, in Montreal, Canada.

Kenneth moved to this area 20 years ago, from Nova Scotia, Canada. He was a member of the Punta Gorda Isles Tennis Club.

Kenneth is survived by his daughter, Lisa Vad of Nova Scotia; son, Glen Pitcher of Toronto, Canada; sisters, Doreen Smith of Orillia, Canada, Lynne Smith of Winnipeg, Canada; grandchildren, Connor and Megan.

Memorial services will be private in Canada. Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society, 992 Tamiami Trl., #C-2, Port Charlotte, FL. 33953.

Arrangements are by National Cremation Society of Port Charlotte, Fla.
